As part of Gregory Crewdson's new body of work (you can get the low down at Gallery Hopper), White Cube is offering a series of production stills at a nice price (at least for a Crewdson). Each image is 16 x 20 inches in an edition of 20 and will set you back £800 ($1506). Here are the images:

It seems to me that they contain all the style and none of the substance of Crewdson's actual photos. Comments anyone? (Thanks to my friend Lawrence Nathan for pointing these out to me.)
Incidentally, Thomas Demand did the same thing in a way. Calling them "photographic sketches", Demand produced an edition for Kunthaus Bregren in connection with his work "Simulator". Here you can purchase 5 digital prints, each approx. 15" square in an edition of 60 for €3000 ($3844). Here's one:

Oh, the sad curse of being too successful a photographer! And what a great idea to sell "production stills" to cater to the market of those people who can't afford your insanely expensive art works! Now maybe we need some t-shirts for people who don't even want to fork out $1,000 for a "production still" and we got the whole market covered!

Maybe they'll start selling off props, or bits of gaffer's tape or actual CompactFlash cards used in the actual shoots. Greedy, greedy mothereffers.
